{"id":1651,"date":"2019-09-28T07:47:31","date_gmt":"2019-09-28T12:47:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/crossfieldcollection.com\/recipe\/?p=1651"},"modified":"2019-09-28T07:48:51","modified_gmt":"2019-09-28T12:48:51","slug":"small-bbq-meatballs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/crossfieldcollection.com\/recipe\/small-bbq-meatballs\/","title":{"rendered":"Small BBQ Meatballs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>Small Meat Balls in Barbecue\u00a0<\/b><b>Sauce<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0&#8211; from Barbara Humphrey\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(shared by Mike and Serena Crossfield Humphrey &#8211; Barbara is Mike\u2019s mother)<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1 pound ground beef<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00bd pound ground pork<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1 pound ground veal\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 (2 \u00bd pounds meatloaf meat mix &#8211; best if meat is all ground all together)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">4 slices bread<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00be cup milk<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1 onion, minced finely<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2 teaspoons salt<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00bc teaspoon pepper<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1 clove garlic, minced fine<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u215b teaspoon nutmeg<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u215b teaspoon allspice<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2 eggs<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sauce<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00bd cup onion, minced<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2 Tablespoons butter<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1 cup catsup<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2153 cup vinegar<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2 Tablespoons brown sugar<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00bd cup of water<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2 teaspoons prepared mustard<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2 Tablespoons Worcestershire sauce<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u215b tsp salt<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Combine all ingredients in saucepan and simmer for 10 minutes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Have meat finely ground together, crumble bread and mix with milk. Add meat mixture to bread\/milk and mix well. Add remaining ingredients mixing until well blended. Form into one inch balls. Small size balls are best to make five to six dozen small balls. Let stand 30 minutes.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Brown balls on all sides in skillet on medium heat.
