Cool to lukewarm.<\/span><div class=\"wprm-spacer\"><\/div>\n<span style=\"display: block;\">Stir in 1 cup of the flour.\u00a0<\/span><div class=\"wprm-spacer\"><\/div>\n<span style=\"display: block;\">Add softened yeast and oats.\u00a0<\/span><div class=\"wprm-spacer\"><\/div>\n<span style=\"display: block;\">Stir in enough of remaining flour to make a soft dough.\u00a0<\/span><div class=\"wprm-spacer\"><\/div>\n<span style=\"display: block;\">Turn out on a floured board and knead for about 10 minutes or until dough springs back when pressed.\u00a0<\/span><div class=\"wprm-spacer\"><\/div>\n<span style=\"display: block;\">Place in a greased bowl and brush with melted shortening.<br \/>Cover and let rise until double in size. About one hour.\u00a0<\/span><div class=\"wprm-spacer\"><\/div>\n<span style=\"display: block;\">Punch down, cover and let rest for 10 minutes.\u00a0<\/span><div class=\"wprm-spacer\"><\/div>\n<span style=\"display: block;\">Divide dough in half and shape each half to form a loaf . <br \/>Bread pan size 8 1\/2 x 4 1\/2 c 2 1\/2.\u00a0 Brush with shortening.\u00a0<\/span><div class=\"wprm-spacer\"><\/div>\n<span style=\"display: block;\">Cover and let rise until double in size (about 45 minutes)<\/span><div class=\"wprm-spacer\"><\/div>\n<span style=\"display: block;\">Makes two loaves<\/span><div class=\"wprm-spacer\"><\/div>\n<span style=\"display: block;\">Bake at 350 degrees for about 45 minutes until golden brown.\u00a0<\/span><div class=\"wprm-spacer\"><\/div>\n<span style=\"display: block;\">Original recipe came from \"ALL TIME ANY TIME TIME\"\u00a0 booklet from Quaker Oats.<\/span><\/div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; Yeast bread that I make to go along with baked beans.
