Work the butter into the dry mixture until it resembles wet sand with some pea-sized pieces of butter. Reserve 2 cups of the prepared crust and set it aside.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li id=\"wprm-recipe-31374-step-1-2\" class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction\">\n<div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-text\">Press the remaining crust into a 10\u00d714 pan (also called a jelly roll-size pan). Firmly and evenly press the crust, making sure to press the crust mixture up the sides of the pan. Bake the crust for 15 minutes. Once baked, remove it from the oven and set aside to cool.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-group\">\n<h4 class=\"wprm-recipe-group-name wprm-recipe-instruction-group-name wprm-block-text-bold\">For the filling<\/h4>\n<ul class=\"wprm-recipe-instructions\">\n<li id=\"wprm-recipe-31374-step-2-0\" class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction\">\n<div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-text\">Prepare the filling by coring and thinly slicing the apples. In a large bowl, combine the prepared apples, flour, white granulated sugar, maple syrup, cinnamon, and allspice.
